Company History

The company, in essence, has been trading since 1994.

Pankhurst Contracting commenced trading in March 1994.

Formed by Mr Gary Pankhurst, Pankhurst Contracting primarily undertook general building and carpentry works. In 1995, the first hoarding and fencing works were completed for a local demolition contractor.

With the addition of specialised staff in the fields of carpentry and fencing, the company has grown steadily, undertaking larger and larger contracts for a more and more diverse range of clients.

Placing only one or two key adverts a year, works are primarily generated through recommendation, visible presence and reliable, quality workmanship.

All our hoarding and fencing teams are equipped with Transit vans containing complete plant inventory’s, thus avoiding the need for hired in equipment.

Our  fleet includes Transit  vans and a Dropside truck, support all crews.

Investment in latest technology, with a plant and vehicle renewal scheme to help guarantee  we are not affected by breakdowns etc, ensure we stay ahead of our competition.

With 2 employees initially, the company has grown year on year and now employs 30 PAYE staff. These are broken down into specialist teams for hoarding works, fencing works, general carpentry and painting.

Full time support staff includes Contracts Managers, Operations Manager,  office and logistics administration personnel.
